The western fringe of Asturias, bordering Galicia, is the area Oscos-Eo. Towering forests, placid vales, and villages which retain the traditional architecture, which dominates the board. From Vegadeo Castropol and we can continue the tour of San Tirso de Abres, San Martin, Santa Eulalia and Villanueva de Oscos and Taramundi. Sets emphasize ethnographic Teixois Mazonovo and Os, well preserved examples of hammers, forges and traditional mills.

Route description:
We start from San Martin de Oscos. If we take a detour to the right, a few kilometers find Mon. For the AS-13, we arrive at Villanueva de Oscos in just over 5 minutes. Here we take the AS-33 to Santa Eulalia de Oscos (about 7 miles). From this location reach Mazonovo Ferreirela and local road.

To visit from Santa Eulalia Taramundi continue the path north along the AS-27 and, over the pass of the Gorge, we turn left into the AS-26. On the outskirts of this town I find Teixois and skiing.

From Taramundi retook the AS-26 and we take a detour to the AS-21 to Vegadeo, where we arrived about 15 minutes. Once Vegadeo, we can move onto the N-640 to Castropol (8 kilometers) from where we turn on the AS-31 to Barres and Figueras.

San Martin de Oscos – Villanueva de Oscos – Santa Eulalia de Oscos – Ferreirela – Mazonovo – Taramundi – Os Teixois – Skiing – Vegadeo – El Llano – Castropol – Barres – Figueras.
We started the route in San Martin de Oscos, capital of the council of the same name, where you can visit the palace of the Guzman and the house of the Prida. They are kept in good condition and granaries of Big Priest Elisardo house, an exponent of traditional architecture mixed deck (slate and straw) to protect the roof of the wind.

Short detour to find the palace of Mon Mon (s.XVl), the Mallet Mon and the chapel of Saint Marina.  Villanueva is a town of Oscos articulated around the medieval monastery of Santa Marina, Historic-Artistic Monument. In Santa Eulalia de Oscos found remains of hammers, coming from the emerging iron cottage industry developed in the seventeenth century.
       
In Ferreirela, a village located to the left margin of the Rio Aguera, we find the houses natal Antonio Raimundo Ibanez, Marquis de Sargadelos and founder of the foundry and pottery factories Sargadelos, now transformed into a museum, and J. Antonio Fernandez Lombardero, famed watchmaker and inventor. Mazonovo then stopped in to see the iron craft tradition developed in these lands. In the village have recovered the old deck and the furnace and opened an ethnographic museum.

After passing through the port of the Gorge, where we find Taramundi can visit the Museum of Mazonovo Mills, ethnographic ensemble to publicize recovered ancient artifacts and mills and related activities, and the house Bres Water, which shows the relationship between different cultures and dynamics of water throughout history lao.

From Taramundi, south Teixois I can visit. This set is an ethnographic museum where they live and interactive preserved slate masonry buildings, with no load on the walls and slate also covered. The set has a mini power station in the early twentieth century and still in perfect condition the deck, the mill and the grinding wheel. In skiing, we visited another set ethnographic: Ferreiros tools, cooking utensils and tools, in addition to forging their own workshop.  Visiting Taramundi near complete with Aguillón village, which also preserves an important ethnographic heritage in their own Cabreira riverbank. 

We followed the route and we Vegadeo, where we visit the Mered Deck, ethnographic serving authentic jewel for rolling iron rudimentary procedures, now recovered his grain mill and bathing area. From Vegadeo is an accessed Mourela location, which highlights the castro of Croas, and El Llano, capital of the municipality of San Tirso de Abres, where we visit the church of San Salvador and the chapel of St. John (XVI).

From around Castropol Barres is accessed with its stately mansions, and Figueras, picturesque fishing port. Barres as Figueras Both are well communicated through the local network with the extraordinary beaches and Arnao Peñarronda.
