Orgosolo is a unique town in the province of Nuoro is a town in the interior of Sardinia: the walls of their houses are covered by nearly 200 murals depicting local events and people of Italy and the world. “A huge gallery” of history is open to the sky for the color art breathe and not be confined within four walls.

To know the history of a people we usually all go to books, articles, talk to people, well documented. Rarely are coming to a place that we have a sort of outdoor open book to explain to us the history not only of its population unless recent world history. That’s what happens in Orgosolo, one of the larger towns of the province of Nuoro, in Sardinia’s interior, with its nearly 200 murals scattered around the walls of their houses. (más…)

Nothing to do with the New York borough, but sounds similar. This is an old town with canals, medieval markets, cathedrals and countless bars and restaurants. The proximity to Amsterdam makes it an excellent destination for those who want to know other places in the Netherlands. Morrocoy National Park of Venezuela

Morrocoy National Park is located in Falcon State, in northwestern Venezuela near the towns of Boca de Aroa, Tucacas Sanare, Chichiriviche, Flamenco and Tocuyo Coast. It was declared a national park in 1974 and has 32,090 ha.

The park covers both terrestrial and aquatic areas of the Golfo Triste, containing an area of mangroves and numerous islets or keys, among whom are drunk, Pelon, Sombrero, Sal, Playuela and Peraza, among others. In the stress relief Chichiriviche hill, with elevations of 250 m, the set of internal and creeks and mangrove cays and islands. (más…)
