Jodhpur, the blue city of spices

In India, some people choose to ignore the smell of other issues of survival and how they feel sharper, no one knows exactly why. In my case, I belong to the second group, I am particularly acute in terms of flavor, but upon arriving in Jodhpur, the city hooked me above the noise, the rattling of autoricksaw, pollution and the thin dust rising from early in the morning, smelling spices.

Knowing the city:

In the foothills of the Mehrangarh fort, a network of streets where it is impossible to maintain a steady course, extend the blue houses of Jodhpur. This curious tone that initially distinguished the houses of the Brahmins, was adopted throughout the city to ward off the heat, and apparently also to mosquitoes. (más…)

Rotterdam, a very modern city

In this installment I’ll talk about Rotterdam, a city that suffered as few consequences of the Second World War and in later years has reinvented itself as a modern metropolis full of life.

A little history:

Rotterdam was born in the Middle Ages as a settlement on the banks of the River Rotte. The dam which raised its inhabitants gave the town its name (Rotte, the river, which means Dam Dam). His recognition came in 1328 with the granting of “rights of town.” During the Eighty Years War, which pitted the Netherlands to Spain, Rotterdam was key because it allowed the supply of goods during the time that the ports of Amsterdam and Antwerp were blocked. The Rodeo Montubio – A tradition in Ecuador

A traditional park in downtown Guayaquil

In the center of Guayaquil, opposite the beautiful Metropolitan Cathedral, is no small park called Seminar, which by the presence of more than fifty iguanas that have made their habitat facilities, many people today know what Parque de las Iguanas.

The park itself is located between the streets north Clemente Ballen, August 10 south, Chile to the east and west and Chimborazo is more the old city.

Compared to other parks in the city, the extension of the seminar is not park of many dimensions, about 4.350m2 comprises. Alsace Christmas Memories

Today I turn to the memory to save the memories of a trip to Alsace for a family we did last Christmas. Little remains to be is a year since we were visiting some of the most bucolic and charming towns in northern France, especially decorated to give the visitor with beautiful and and exciting pictures of one of the most successful Christmas scenarios that can be experienced today day.

And as we approach our special anniversary, I can not remember harder than snow, half-timbered houses of wood, vin chaud (mulled wine) we were warm in temperatures of -5 ° C, other aspects that are recognized are the streets Elegant in Strasbourg, his proud and beautiful cathedral. The province of Tungurahua is just 5 minutes from the city of Puyo, Pastaza Province, in the Amazon Ecopark is Monteselva, which is reached by an excellent road and where tourists can also enjoy a great variety of services, see numerous species of animals living in this place.
