 Maravilhosa

Christ the Redeemer appears in his arms open to welcome all mankind and this great offer that extends to your feet: Ipanema, Copacabana, Botafogo, Lapa Leblon … are some of the beaches where you can live with joy and laugh misfortune; which are combined in a single moment the «bare» as they know there football matches spontaneous, with the samba, and the bodies of girls and boys sculptural muscular running alongside the water, where they danced, where he sings and where enjoy all that in a few districts do not.

There on the right extends the southern Rio de Janeiro: beaches of Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana.

Copacabana is the one that best reflects the whole spirit of Brazil. Where we see how they live in Brazil, where you forget the stress of everyday problems and to laugh while drinking coconut water or we kicked a ball. It is a beach of more than four kilometers, is always full of Brazilians, even if it’s at dawn. It is the site of the Rio meeting, busy, happy and popular. More intimate is the Leme beach at one end.

Ipanema, however, remained for a more refined class. And is that Ipanema is a neighborhood filled with boutiques, jewelry and perfumes. It is historically the birthplace of bossa nova.

Lagoa

The following is the beach of Leblon, a beach with great animation. On the other side of Sugar Loaf, we find the beaches of Botafogo, a beautiful long beach of fine sand and deep in the center of the city leads us to the cultural area of Rio. It is the oldest part of town, but at the same time conserves buildings of extraordinary beauty. Floriano in the Plaza and surrounding area are the best monuments, including the National Library of neoclassical style, and especially the wonderful Municipal Theater, one of the most magnificent buildings.

Nightlife in Rio with skyline views of the lights, then the neighborhood of Botafogo, and just before the Plaza Floriano was decadent and old, today has become the center of the Brazilian scene in the evening. Dances, shows and live music in local reformed. This area gets one of the most typical pictures of Rio de Janeiro, the bondinho, known as the popular tram that goes along with the Arcos da Lapa and leading to Santa Teresa, a bohemian neighborhood of artists.

We can make many more visits in Rio de Janeiro for its symbolism as the Maracana stadium, opened in 1950 for the World Cup, or the Museum of Contemporary Art, or Sambadrome, but one thing is bound to visit the boarding Pan de Azúcar.

From there, just as we did before from Corcovado, Rio de Janeiro to feel our feet, we see the beauty of the coastline of beaches and admire our backs to the Atlantic and to our eyes the hills that crown the city, Urca, Corcovado and Pedra da Gávea morro Dois Irmaos.
