The city has 109,393 inhabitants, is located 472 km. north of Santiago and 12 km. Coquimbo, which conforms with an urban environment. Is inserted in an environment of outstanding natural features, which include the beaches of warm waters, the Elqui Valley and its green areas.

Where to go in La Serena?
Avenida del Mar Beaches

Plaza de Armas de La Serena:

San Francisco Church:

Cathedral La Serena:
It was declared a National Monument in 1981. It is located in the Plaza de Armas, northeast corner, with street Cordovez. Stands as the first temple for the founding of La Serena in 1544.

Avenue Sea:
Located 5 minutes from the center of the city of La Serena, Avenida del Mar, whose beaches stretching from Monument to the Lighthouse Beach Water Song on the edge of Peñuelas, gives rise to one of the most attractive walks in the city, which has many tourist services, as apart hotels, campsites, pubs and nightclubs, restaurants, motels, playground facilities and modern buildings of residential apartments.
