Seville, one of the most visited cities in Spain. Capital of the autonomous community of Andalusia has approximately 700,000 inhabitants.

How come?
Sevilla has an airport named Aeropuerto de Sevilla-San Pablo is located 10 km northwest of the city. Its flights are mainly national, but increasingly using this airport to other international locations, especially with the addition of new airlines to the airport in Seville.

Seville is full of monuments that you cannot miss:

• The Cathedral: Gothic cathedral is the world’s largest Christian church and the third in size. It has several types of architecture, as it was begun in 1401 but until the twentieth century the building was not completed at all. In 1987 it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

• La Giralda, one of the most famous monuments in Seville. It is the bell tower of the Cathedral of Seville. It measures 97.5 meters high and was built in the twelfth century to form part of the mosque and destroyed (place now the Cathedral).

• The Alcazar: Royal Palace is the oldest active in Europe. It was built under the Arabs, who used it as a residence, was also accommodation of King Ferdinand III of Castile.

• Archive of the Indies, is located near the Alcazares and the Cathedral, and offers a multitude of papers and documentation of relations with America and the Philippines.

• Plaza of Spain, is one of the most important squares of the city, was built in 1929 for the Latin American Exhibition attended by King Alfonso XIII.

• Torre del Oro is a watchtower at the foot of the Guadalquivir, near the Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza. In it we find the Museo Naval de Sevilla.

• La Macarena is a basilica built in 1949 where we can find the Virgen de la Esperanza Macarena.

• City Hall: located in the streets of San Francisco and Plaza Nueva. It is a magnificent building dating from the sixteenth to nineteenth centuries.

• Parque de Maria Luisa beautifully landscaped gardens located next to the Plaza of Spain.
