A jewel in Brazil
This great country of South America cherishes one of the most important jewels of the global hotel industry: the Convento do Carmo. Although it could stand for the originality of being hostel of the Congregation of Carmen, this building is known for being the oldest luxury hotel in Brazil.

Housed in a magnificent colonial building of the XVI century, the Convento do Carmo is one of the five star hotels in the city of Salvador de Bahia, and has been declared World Heritage Site by the United Nations Organization for Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

This hotel has retained original features of the year 1586, this is thanks to the work in the restaurant performed continually, and one of the features that make it one of the most luxurious hotels in the world. It has 79 rooms that were once the cells of the nuns and now have great comfort and modernity, with plasma TVs, internet access wi-fi, spa, and various types of furniture.

The Convento do Carmo has hosted celebrities such as renowned fashion model Naomi Campbell’s and the singer Julio Iglesias.

Meslay Republique, the heart of Paris
In the center of Paris in France, in a XIX century building, is the Meslay Republique, one of the oldest hotels in the city.  The Meslay has been completely renovated, renovating their facilities, and combining classic architectural style with modern equipment.

A few steps away, is placed the Place de la Bastille, the Centre Georges Pompidou, Place des Vosges, and some of the streets and the city’s main boulevards.

These places, positioned, house historical monuments, natural beauty, ancient cultures, but also important jewels of the hospitality they deserve to be discovered.
