Because of its many facets, Rio de Janeiro is the center of the tourism industry in Latin America. Besides the incomparable natural beauty, its history and the contagious joy of its people helped create a very special place to holiday, New Year’s Eve and Carnival.

Two milestones in the landscape of the city are real postcards to people who visit the city and are known throughout the world: the Sugar Loaf and the statue of Christ the Redeemer.

Besides its natural beauty, the city of Rio de Janeiro is one of the major business centers in the country and is chosen as the venue for major conferences, congresses and meetings of national and international convention centers that have all their experience and infrastructure for events of international standard.

Climate and Geography:
Rio de Janeiro, includes landscapes of exceptional scenic beauty, is in the water and mountains in the Regents of the exuberant geography.

Archipelago

How to get there?
By car:
The main interstate highways are:
BR-116 – which connects the state of Rio de Janeiro to São Paulo and southern Brazil. Known as the Via Dutra.
BR-101 – which connects the state of Rio de Janeiro to the north and north-east.
BR-040 – which connects the state of Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and the center-west of the country.
Note that the BR-116 BR-101 and cut the country from north to south. The BR-116 is the «inside», while the BR-101 is more coastal.

By bus:
Buses arriving from almost all over the country to the New River Terminal, located near the bridge Rio-Niterói.

By plane:
Rio has 2 main airports:
Tom Jobim International Airport – Galeão
Is in the Governor’s Island, about 20 kilometers from the city center, the reception of domestic and international flights.

Santos Dumont Airport (SDU)
Only receives flights from the air bridge Rio-São Paulo and States of the region near Rio de Janeiro. Airport concentrated aviation hangars and helicopters.
