In the Australian state of Tasmania, the ubiquitous nature exercises its most indelible. A destination that is special for the devotees of the outdoors, tranquility, turquoise water and adventure sports. Its cities are evidence of the English influence.
Chosen to southeastern Australia, Tasmania embodies an island in every sense for the country to which it belongs: geographical, cultural and architecturally.

Salamanca markets, the neighborhood of Battery Point (built 1840), the Cadbury chocolate factory, West Sea point, the whiskey distillery Gasworks Villa, Victorian Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens … only some of the views required. Not to mention the restaurants and seafood stalls along the coast.

In the early nineteenth century, the British in Tasmania found a suitable place to erect a jail where to send dangerous criminals. 12.500 convicts lived in Port Arthur prison, which operated from 1830 a 1870. The prisoners built railroads, bridges and buildings. The visit to the jail seems bound for the tourists, who may then undertake a tour of the impressive cliffs of the Tasman Arch, Devil’s Kitchen Cave and notables.
