Vietnam: The routes

Ho Chi Minh route was used by the Viet Minh in their struggle for independence from France, and was later reopened by North Vietnam to supply the Vietcong during the Vietnam War.

It was a complex maze of trails maintained by local people and traveled north to the south Asian country, often by the thick jungle of Laotian territory. Today the route to a little shifted towards the east, is one of the best ways to learn about Vietnam, a country of immense beauty and inhabited by people very sociable. (more…)
