Altea, about 50 kilometers north of Alicante, in the midst of a pleasant bay protected by a mountain range, is one of the most beautiful places in the Spanish Mediterranean coast.
Its white houses are clustered around a hill that crowns the parish church, where stands a beautiful dome covered with blue glazed tiles, which stands out from the whites of the village. The austerity of the square tower of the church contributes further to give preeminence to the dome painting, which is repeatedly painted by artists new and experienced. (más…)
