The “new city” of Brasilia Brazil

Brasilia becomes capital of Brazil in 1956, because until then the capital of the nation rested on Rio de Janeiro The city is located 1000 kilometers to the interior side of the plateau Goias, and altitude over 1100 meters.

The idea of moving the capital to the center of the country at the end of the twelfth century, and is inserted into a policy of internal development of the area of Brazil in order to encourage its development and settlement, as well as to motivate the economy.
