Brazil is the largest country in South America and fifth in the world, has boundaries with all South American countries, except Chile and Ecuador, is a distinctly tropical country, as it lies on the equator. Most of its territory lies in the Amazon rainforest and has the greatest diversity of animals in the world.
The capital of Brazil is Brasilia, which serves as the third capital of this country after Rio de Janeiro. Brazil is divided into 26 states plus the federal district, its main cities are Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Salvador de Bahia, Fortaleza, Brasilia, Curitiba, Recife, Porto Alegre, Manaus, Goiania and Campinas.
