Torrevieja, Torrevella or as they say in Valencia is a beautiful city of Valencia which is located in the province of Alicante on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and its coast and due to the fact that many Madrileños (Madril people) have chosen to live is also called the Playa de Madrid.

It is a city that occupies about 71 km2 within which there are streets, buildings, lagoons and beaches. Its coastline has a length of 20 kilometers with many popular beaches and if we add to that the pleasant temperatures that often understand why it is chosen by many tourists and visitors who are either pass or decide to stay live.

Torrevieja was once a major fishing town and still not surrender to the business of salt (its lagoon is one of the major salt producers in the country) but today the city’s economic growth is more related to real estate and construction especially for tourism, as evidenced by the large number of hotels in Torrevieja which have been opened, what about his projection as a tourist destination.

The beaches of Torrevieja:
In principle the beach. Some are hidden and are intimate, some are huge and beautiful and are among the best in Valencia. We have the beaches and Los Locos, El Cura, shipwrecked and Acequion. The coastal strip from north to south starting with the La Mata beach, the most popular, with fine sand and all the services, then follow a series of rocky coves that open from the other two famous beaches, El Cura and Los Locos, with water, sand and clean all the services as well.

But let’s go by parts: the beach of La Mata is the largest of Torrevieja, has more than 20 hits with a marine promenade with palm trees and has the Natural Park de la Laguna de La Mata. Los Locos beach has little surf, a sea bottom and even clean water and blue is also suitable for disabled. The Beach of Cura, for its part, is between the dam and Punta Margallo north. It is a beach of golden sand and palm trees with many restaurants, hotels and many people.

The Náufragos beach is in turn protected by another dam, the south, and is one of the most enjoyable beaches of Torrevieja and it offers many activities and sports. The sand is almost white and the blue sea. Finally to Torrevieja, in addition to these beaches, we must add the wonderful sports marina which has nearly 1500 moorings, equestrian club, an excursion to the famous museums and Salinas. Oh, and here of course tourists enjoy the best dishes of local gastronomy based on seafood and always returns home with a nice little boat of salt as the main local crafts.
