To enjoy Corsica, the best time is outside the high season. The island is much nicer without the crowds and also the temperatures are also more pleasant than during the hot summer months.

The island fell in love since ancient as the Greeks saw it called it ‘Kallisté’, the most sublime, the French are not far behind and called Ile de Beauté. This mix of cultures, joined the Corsican language, an officer in the island next to France, which is reminiscent of Tuscany and also many variants of place names immortalized which was once the greatness Genoese in the Mediterranean. No need to save for years to travel the world. He was born a new way to share resources and interests and social networks that are found to travel. It is without doubt the best way to travel free while living a much more comprehensive and integrated in the country you visit. Networks are spanning five continents, just need a bit of curiosity, interest in learning about other cultures and be willing to be generous as others are with you.

Lübeck, a walk through medieval Germany

Lübeck was the capital of the Hanseatic League for centuries, and is part of the list of sites declared World Heritage by UNESCO. It is one of the few German cities that survived the massive bombing of the Second World War, and “only” 20% of the town center was wiped off the map. This is due to become the logistics center of the Red Cross during the war, and therefore was more respected than other cities that were not so lucky, like Cologne or Frankfurt. Anyway, if you visit the cathedral (Dom) and the Church of Marienkirsche, see photo exhibitions where we show the degree of blight that caused the bombing on them, and the arduous task of reconstruction.

Located in the state of Schleswig-Holstein in northern Germany, Lübeck is the last major town before reaching the border with Denmark. Situated on the banks of the Trave, the river with the largest German port of the Baltic Sea and one of the largest in Europe. But if anything stands out Lübeck is one of the most beautiful medieval towns of the continent. (más…)

La Manga – Spain

La Manga del Mar Menor has a peculiarity that in a few places you can experience. Sitting between two seas, able to look sideways and see the Mediterranean and then look back for the saltwater lagoon of Mar Menor.

It is not surprising because in the past other civilizations also valued the benefits of its geography. The earliest traces of civilization in the surroundings of Mar Menor dating from the Palaeolithic, although the settlements which have more information and have been found more traces are Roman and Arabic times. If there is a film city par excellence, this is Paris. It was the City of Lights in the seventeenth century, when it established the standard of lighting a fire on the windows so that the city was not so dangerous at night, and today is a city of celluloid.

In these votes were elected monuments like the Colosseum in Rome, the Great Wall of China, Christ Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, Machu Pichu in Peru, the pyramids of Chichen Itza in Mexico, India’s Taj Mahal and Petra in Jordan.

Christmas markets in Prague

Christmas begins to wake up in Prague in late November with the installation of traditional and cozy Christmas markets, where one breathes the proximity of the parties in the street and often a few degrees below zero.

The cold is not an impediment to the Czech Republic garnish their inhabitants flooding the streets to participate in a recently restored old tradition. It was after 2006 that the two great Christmas markets of Prague again became a tradition. The Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square hosts the largest number of jobs and develop during this time in centers of activity and entertainment in the city. (más…)
