Oktoberfest, the big beer festival in Munich

The Oktoberfest is a festival of 16-day held in the Bavarian city of Munich, Germany, and begins the first Saturday after September 15. Held in the area known as Theresienwiese (Prado de Teresa), near the city center, near the Central Station (Hauptbahhof). It is the largest outdoor fair in the world, with more than 7 million visitors each year. It first held in 1810 and served as the 200-year history.

Beer is the true protagonist of the event, to the point that it begins when the mayor of Munich Bavarian Prime Minister served the first pitcher of beer specially made for Oktoberfest (Wiesnbier), which is slightly darker and stronger than regular beer. Served in a liter jug, called Mass. Only Munich breweries are allowed to serve this variant of beer. (más…)

Terranova was not his original name, but these lands have had from its first settlement a process of change. This is a place where natures practically unattainable constantly renew their domains, fighting inch by inch to the advancement of civilization. Newfoundland and Newfoundland, as its inhabitants call it was discovered by the Icelandic Vikings explored the North Atlantic in search of new lands. His first name was Vinland and although there are different meanings, it seems that the etymology of the word refers to the abundance of vineyards.

The Corto Maltese in Venice

Corto Maltese is the famous ocean created by Hugo Pratt, who through their adventures in comics has traveled around the world. Short is a savvy traveler who knows the secret corners of Venice, Ethiopia, Siberia or the secrets of the desert.

The character was born in 1887 in La Valetta (Malta) and from an early age he sailed to discover the world. He did his first trip to Egypt and traveled only 13 Manchuria. Corto Maltese is an adventurous use of time and travel is not just as an observer, but always eventually become involved in the events around him.
